Management

Marcus G. Warren, MBA, EA is a Managing Partner and Principal of J. Hagan, Warren & Associates Wealth Advisors.  Mr. Warren is considered an industry expert in the subjects of tax law, federal taxation, securities taxation, and estate planning.  He received his BA in political science and public administration from Midwestern State University, completed his MBA at Webster University in St. Louis and is currently a CFP candidate through Northwestern University.  Marcus is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a tax professional recognized by the United States federal government to represent taxpayers in dealings with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  Marcus is currently enrolled in the fellowship program through the National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI).  He is securities licensed in Kentucky, Indiana and Wisconsin; Insurance licensed in Kentucky; and licensed as a Registered Investment Advisor (Series 65) in Kentucky.  Mr. Warren is a former Board member of the Young Professionals Association of Louisville and currently sits on the Board of Directors for St. John Center Men’s Homeless Shelter and is a former Executive committee member of the Pink Tie Ball for the Susan G Komen Foundation in the fight against Breast Cancer.  He was also named one of Business First’s “40 Under 40″ top business professionals in Louisville.

 

Jon Hagan Hicks, MBA, MSFS is a Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of J. Hagan, Warren & Associates Wealth Advisors. He specializes in alternative investments, financial management theory, securities taxation, business planning strategies and retirement taxation planning.  Mr. Hicks has lectured at Brescia University, Centre College, and the University of Louisville on topics of wealth preservation and international investing.  He has researched abroad in India, where he studied the political economy of trade in New Delhi, Jaipur, and Bombay.  He received his BS in Economics from Centre College, where he was a Rogers Scholar and the Robert Powell Jacobs Prize recipient.  He earned his Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) from the Institute of Business and Finance; earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA, with honors) with concentration in Finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago, IL; and has earned a graduate certificate in Accounting.  He is currently a CPA candidate in the state of Kentucky.  He is securities licensed in Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and New Jersey; Insurance licensed in Kentucky Ohio, Michigan and Indiana; and a Registered Investment Advisor (Series 65) in the state of Kentucky.  He has been Board Certified in Estate Planning and has earned the Certified Tax Specialist designation.  Jon sits on the Board of Directors for The Tax Advisory Group and the Institute of Capital Preservation. He lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife Tennille and three year old daughter, Madeline.
